Tarde Literaria: Lead by Fellow Andrea Alvarado and Moderator Luis Alfonso Hoyos
We are excited to announce that Tarde Literaria is back for 2026, and this year marks an important milestone for the program.
For the two past years, Tarde Literaria has been hosted exclusively in Weston, growing into a beloved literary gathering where authors, readers, and community members come together to celebrate literature, culture, and storytelling in Spanish. Thanks to the continued support of the community and the growing demand for this space, 2026 will be the first year Tarde Literaria expands to two locations.

Based on strong interest from authors and attendees, Tarde Literaria will now be hosted in both Weston and Doral, allowing us to reach a wider audience while maintaining the intimate, welcoming spirit that defines the program.
📍 Weston events will be held at Wings – Weston (1354 SW 160th Ave. Weston, FL)
📍 Doral events will be hosted at Kokai Sushi – Doral (9036 NW 25th Street, Doral, FL)
All Tarde Literaria events continue to be hosted entirely in Spanish, creating an accessible and culturally rich space for our Spanish-speaking community.
Throughout the year, we will host a strong lineup of authors across nine scheduled dates, alternating between Weston and Doral:
Each session will feature authors sharing their books, personal journeys, and creative processes, followed by thoughtful conversation with the audience.
In addition to the expanded schedule, the Tarde Literaria Committee is currently working on an exciting new initiative: the first-ever Weston Book Fair (Feria del Libros), planned for Weston Town Center.
This book fair will be a natural extension of Tarde Literaria — bringing together authors, readers, families, and educators for a larger community celebration of books, literacy, and Spanish-language culture. More details will be shared as planning continues.
Tarde Literaria was created to provide a platform for hispanic authors, encourage reading, and foster meaningful cultural exchange. As the program grows into two cities, our mission remains the same: to build community through literature and create spaces where stories are shared, heard, and celebrated.
Tarde Literaria is a free community event thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Wings in Weston and Kokai Sushi in Doral for graciously donating their spaces to host these literary gatherings. Their support allows us to create welcoming environments where authors and the community can come together.
We also thank our Title Sponsor, Elite Language Academy, for their continued commitment to education, language, and cultural enrichment in our community.
Because of these partnerships, Tarde Literaria remains free and accessible to all, reinforcing our mission to build community through literature.
We look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new attendees throughout the year in Weston and Doral.

Immigration Attorney
"As an immigration attorney, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible work Americas Community Center does for our immigrant community. Through their programs and outreach, they have created a platform that truly empowers individuals seeking a better future in this country. Thanks to the network they've built—especially through Americas Business Networking—I’ve been able to collaborate with fellow immigration attorneys, share resources, and extend our reach far beyond what we could do alone. Together, we've provided guidance, clarity, and hope to individuals and families facing complex immigration challenges. This organization is more than just a support system—it’s a bridge that connects professionals with those who need us most. I’m proud to be a part of their mission." Americas Community Center empowers immigrants, connects professionals, and builds hope—impacting lives through collaboration, clarity, and a shared mission.
Bloomin Blinds
My name is Male Medana, I arrived at Americas Community Center four years ago when I emigrated from Argentina. I started with ABN for networking purposes, as a way to promote our business Bloomin Blinds a window coverings treatment franchise that we opened as part of our move to the United States. Little by little, I got to know more about Americas Community Center, and not only I get involved, but my family also became engaged in lots of programs. As I always say, it was not just about networking; it gave me the opportunity to meet amazing people who have taught me a lot. Americas is a large Family where I met several participants who helped me integrate into the United States. Through this experience, I learned a lot about this country , my actual city Weston and, most importantly, found support in becoming part of the community. I will always be eternally grateful to Fabio, Alexis, and their family for welcoming me into Americas Community Center. Not only for helping me integrate into the community but also for teaching me how to grow both in my business and as a person. Thank you so much!
Ociris Multiservices Cleaning
Americas is a community that works. I’ve been a part of the ABN networking group for the past year, and recently, I witnessed just how powerful this community truly is. A close friend of mine was going through a very difficult time — her daughter was in and out of the hospital with serious health struggles. Without hesitation, participants of ABN stepped in to help. An insurance agent offered guidance and advice even though my friend wasn’t a client. A doctor from a medical office provided telemedicine support, despite the little girl not being a patient. And the support didn’t stop there — the list goes on. What you find at Americas Community Center and within this networking group is more than just business connections. You find kind-hearted professionals who are driven by a spirit of service. This is a network that truly shows up when it matters most.
