Americas Community Center Supports Local Student Through Weston Music Society Scholarship Program
At Americas Community Center, we believe in supporting opportunities that help students pursue their goals and continue their education. This year, we were honored to contribute to the Weston Music Society Scholarship Program and help recognize a talented local student as he begins the next chapter of his academic journey.
As part of our support, Americas Community Center matched donations raised during the Weston Music Society’s holiday event, contributing to the scholarship fund that benefits graduating students pursuing higher education.
One of the most rewarding parts of the experience was meeting the student who received the scholarship. It is always meaningful to see firsthand how community support can help students take the next step toward their future.
Representing Americas Community Center, Executive Director Alexis Pulido attended the City of Weston Commission Meeting, where she presented the scholarship award on behalf of the organization.
In her remarks, Alexis shared:
“Americas was proud to match the donations during the Music Society’s holiday event because we believe in supporting students who are working hard to pursue their education.”
The recipient of this year’s Americas Community Center Scholarship was Eduardo Cornavaca, an accomplished young musician whose dedication and leadership have made a lasting impression within his school’s music program.
A talented tuba player, Eduardo became a leader within the brass section while also developing a passion for composing original music and performing with his own rock band. He plans to continue creating and publishing music while studying Music Technology at Florida Atlantic University.
During the scholarship presentation, Alexis remarked:
“I am honored to be presenting the scholarship to Eduardo Cornavaca, a tuba player who became a leader within the brass section while also developing a passion for composing and performing with his own rock band. Eduardo will continue creating and publishing music while studying Music Technology at Florida Atlantic University. Tonight, he is receiving this year’s Americas Community Center Scholarship.”
We congratulate Eduardo and all of this year’s scholarship recipients for their hard work, dedication, and achievements. Their success reflects the value of community support and the importance of encouraging students as they pursue their educational goals.
Americas Community Center is grateful to the Weston Music Society, the City of Weston, and everyone who contributes to programs that help students continue their education and follow their passions.
