On Wednesday, January 22, at 7:45 a.m., Americas Community Center proudly hosted the highly anticipated ABN Awards Ceremony—the largest networking event of the year for our Americas Business Networking (ABN) community. Held in a warm, energetic atmosphere, the morning brought together business professionals from a wide range of industries to connect, celebrate, and honor the outstanding achievements of their peers.

The room buzzed with enthusiasm as participants of our ABN community gathered not only to network but to acknowledge the individuals and businesses who exemplify leadership, innovation, service, and community spirit. It was more than an awards ceremony—it was a celebration of the heart and hustle that fuels our business network.

Honoring Excellence Across Seven Categories

The highlight of the event was the presentation of awards in seven distinguished categories, each one voted on by fellow ABN participants throughout 2024. These peer-nominated awards reflected the respect, admiration, and support that define our networking community.

Each award was presented by esteemed city officials, local business executives, and community leaders, adding prestige and community recognition to each moment on stage. Whether it was reconnecting with familiar faces or welcoming new participants into the fold, the ABN Awards Ceremony reminded us that networking is about building relationships that inspire growth, both personally and professionally.

From heartfelt acceptance speeches to surprise recognitions, every moment contributed to an event that was equal parts motivational and memorable. One of the highlights of the morning was receiving an official proclamation from Commissioner Steve Geller, recognizing the ABN Awards Ceremony as a significant and impactful day in our community—an incredible honor that speaks to the power of connection and collaboration within our network.

We also took a moment to recognize one of our longstanding community partners, Rick Case Automotive Group, for their support of Americas Community Center and the ABN program throughout the years. Their commitment to community engagement has been instrumental in helping us grow and serve others.

In the spirit of gratitude, Rick Case Automotive helped us celebrate two very special volunteers:

• Fernando Burgos, a retired professional and active ABN volunteer, who consistently donates his time, wisdom, and energy to support our networking efforts.
• Kavin James, a dedicated student volunteer who showed up every Tuesday night for an entire year to help set up the room and ensure every event ran smoothly.

These acknowledgments reflected the deeper purpose behind ABN—not just business growth, but the value of showing up, giving back, and lifting each other up.
