Uniting Cultures & Celebrating Freedom

Americas Community Center at the City of Weston July 4th Parade

This past Independence Day, Americas Community Center proudly participated in the City of Weston’s July 4th Parade, carrying this year’s message loud and clear: “Uniting Cultures & Celebrating Freedom.”

As we walked through the heart of Weston alongside fellow organizations, families, and community leaders, we were reminded of the power of diversity and the shared values that bring us all together. Our team, joined by volunteers and friends, proudly represented the immigrant spirit that has helped shape and strengthen this country.

We were honored to have Dr. Alma Regnault join us in the parade this year, walking in support of Weston Eyecare Center, a community partner who shares our commitment to wellness and service. Her presence reflected the collaborative energy that defines our work and this community.

To help beat the heat, we handed out refreshing popsicles—thanks to our amazing friends at Bosco Factory—adding an extra smile to everyone’s face as we waved to the crowds. We also shared the excitement for our upcoming event: the Colombian Heritage Game with the Marlins on July 19th, a special evening that continues our celebration of culture and community.

At Americas Community Center, every opportunity to come together is a reminder of our mission: to empower immigrant families and foster a sense of belonging through education, service, and connection. The Fourth of July Parade was a beautiful reflection of that mission in action.

Thank you to the City of Weston for hosting this joyful and unifying event, and to everyone who cheered us on. We are proud to stand beside you in celebrating the freedoms we share—and the cultures that enrich us all.
