Para Las Ninas / For the Girls

Objectives or Brief description:

Hogar de Niñas is a home for 51 young orphaned girls in Colombia that is maintained by 7 nuns. The home is self sustained and currently in need of financial support.

The objective of Para Las Ninas / For the Girls is to raise funds in order to supply the girls with their most basic needs - food, clothing and other needs such as pots and pans,and new shelfs/dressers for their home.

This project/campaign is an opportunity to make a difference and to see the impact firsthand. These girls are so appreciative any time a visitor comes to the orphanage. They are curious and optimistic despite their situation. Whatever is collected will instantly help improve the lives of these girls in some way.

Events:

An online fundraising campaign will begin on November 15. In addition, a fundraising event will be held in Washington, DC on December 6, 2011. The campaign will end in time to deliver funds to the orphanage by Christmas.
